Project Management and delivery of the remediation of the playing fields behind the main building, constituting the largest commercial exhumation of human remains in Australia. A huge challenge given the level of unknowns in taking on such a project, it started with providing a more efficient excavation methodology than originally proposed by the state government, as the previous owner. The work required a mix of archaeological and civils work on a large scale and demanded sensitive handling, not just in the subject matter but also in managing the often contradictory requirements of the very different contractors needed to manage detail and scale at the same time. Additional work was carried out supporting the owner in stabilising and preserving the existing heritage building.
